Playa de Ugán
★ 4.6 (127 reviews)
Playa de Ugán is one of those hidden gems in Fuerteventura that makes you feel like a true explorer. Located about 6 km north of La Pared, this pristine beach with black volcanic sand and rocks hides behind cliffs and coastal vegetation, accessible only via a gravel path that forms part of a spectacular coastal route. The journey is absolutely worth it: many visitors combine it in a roughly three-hour trek connecting three wild beaches in the area.
What makes Ugán special is precisely its untouched and solitary nature. Without services or crowds, this corner of Fuerteventura's coastline offers an authentic experience where the Atlantic Ocean in its purest form takes center stage. The hypnotic sound of waves crashing against volcanic rocks creates a perfect natural soundtrack for disconnecting. Be aware though, the strong currents demand respect and caution, but the spectacular sunsets and absolute tranquility more than compensate. An ideal escape for lovers of unfiltered nature.
