Playa de Veneguera is one of those wild corners of Gran Canaria that maintains its pristine essence, precisely because getting there requires some determination. Located in the municipality of Mogán, this virgin beach is reached after driving along a dirt track between greenhouses and farms that tests your vehicle, but the reward is worth every bump in the road.

Those who know this natural paradise describe it as a true marvel: golden sand surrounded by cliffs, crystal-clear waters perfect for swimming, and a tranquility that's increasingly hard to find in the south of the island. On the left side of the beach, a path takes you to the remains of an old pier where waves crash dramatically. Sunsets here are legendary, especially when the sun disappears behind the silhouette of Mount Teide, and at night the starry sky competes in beauty with the song of the shearwaters.

Come prepared though: there are no services or shops nearby, so stock up beforehand in Veneguera village. And respect the speed limit on the access track—your car will thank you.
